Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain

I'm going to be doing the exercises in this book to try to improve my artwork. I'm not a bad artist by any means, but I only feel confident drawing animals. I'd like to gain a better understanding of artistic concepts (light source, anyone?) and feel more confident about adding things like backgrounds. DotRSB seems to gets rave reviews, so I feel that it is a good starting point.
I'm going to use my gallery to track my progress (or if the entries are failtacular, my scrapbook.)
Also, I am a FAVORITES NINJA. There are so many wonderful artworks here and too little time!
